Henry V
Henry V: one of Shakespeare’s “war plays” that explores passion, patriotism, leadership, and destiny – leading to the storied English victory over the French at Agincourt. Follow Henry as he learns what it means to be a king, uniting his country and reaching the cusp of victory – but at what cost?
With this production, and the turmoil of the world as a whole, keeping the world of this show somewhat in an Elizabethan setting was a decision made by creative team. Allowing this more familiar Shakespeariean look kept audiences engaged in the characters without the distraction of an out-of-place/out-of-time experience. Abigail used fabrics and textures to highlight rank and class, which visualized beautifully in the natural light of the outdoor stage.
